What sweetens it, and why we tell you
Most "sugar free" sweets in Pakistan won't tell you what's actually inside. We will.
Our halwa is sweetened with sorbitol, a sugar alcohol. It carries the sweetness of sugar, and it also gives the halwa its body and keeps it soft. That's why the taste and texture stay so close to the original. Intense sweeteners like stevia can't do this on their own. They add sweetness but no substance, which is why they work in a dry mix like panjeeri but not in halwa.
A note on portions: sorbitol is best enjoyed in moderate servings. We recommend a small piece at a time. Larger amounts in one sitting can sit heavily.
A note for diabetics: no added sugar doesn't mean no effect on blood sugar. Milk and khoya contain natural milk sugar, and sorbitol can still raise blood sugar a little in some people. If you're diabetic, count it like any sweet, keep portions small, and check with your doctor first.

Best enjoyed within 10 days of delivery. Store in a cool, dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
