Winter in Pakistan has its own food. As soon as the evenings turn cold, people start asking for gajjak, panjeeri and halwa, and the first kinnow arrive in the markets. That makes winter one of the easiest seasons to send a gift that feels just right.
Here are our favourite winter gifts, and who each one suits best.
1. Dry fruit gajjak
Gajjak is the classic winter crunch. Our dry fruit gajjak sets almonds, pistachios and cashews in caramelised sugar and desi ghee.
Best for: anyone who loves something nutty with their evening chai.
2. Panjeeri
In many Punjabi homes, winter means a jar of panjeeri in the kitchen. Ours is slowly roasted in desi ghee with almonds, makhanay, gond and suji. You can choose the original recipe or the no added sugar version sweetened with stevia.
Best for: parents, grandparents, and families who grew up with homemade panjeeri.
3. Desi ghee halwa
A box of halwa is warm, rich and feels generous. A few favourites:
- Akhroti sohan halwa: Multan's famous halwa, with walnuts.
- Honey dry fruit halwa: made with honey, khoya, dates, figs and crushed nuts.
- Anjeer halwa: figs, khoya and desi ghee with a touch of honey.
Best for: elders, in-laws, and anyone you want to impress.
4. Swat apples and SAVA white anar
Early winter is the tail end of the mountain fruit season. Swat apples from Gwalerai and SAVA white anar from Alipur make unusual gifts, because most people have never tasted fruit sourced this carefully. Both are seasonal, so order while stock lasts.
Best for: fruit lovers and families who prefer something fresh over sweets.
5. Kinnow and oranges
From November, citrus season begins. A box of Sargodha kinnow or Khanpur malta is a cheerful, healthy winter gift. If the products show sold out, the new harvest has not started yet.
Best for: offices, big families and fresh juice lovers.
6. Dates
Dates are a gift that suits every age. Our dates collection includes Ajwa, Mabroom and Kalmi.
Best for: anyone, especially people who prefer natural sweetness.
Tips for winter gifting
- Mix it: one box of sweets and one of fruit makes a balanced gift.
- Think about health: for diabetic or health-conscious elders, choose from the no added sugar range, and remember these sweets still contain natural sugars.
- Order early: delivery takes 2 to 5 working days, so order a week ahead of any visit.
- Send it direct: add the recipient's name and address at checkout, with a note in the order instructions. Delivery is free across Pakistan.
