Lighter than air. Gone before you notice.
Feather Flake is our Bombay patisa, the sweet many of you grew up calling soan papdi. Hundreds of hair-fine strands of slow-roasted besan and pure desi ghee are pulled, folded and pressed into soft layered bars, finished with sliced almonds, that give way the moment they touch your tongue.
No chewing, no heaviness. Just a warm, nutty sweetness that dissolves and leaves you reaching for the next piece.
Contains: gram flour (besan), sugar, pure desi ghee and sliced almonds.
Better value in 1kg: one 1kg tin is Rs 6,500, two 0.5kg tins are Rs 9,000. You save Rs 2,500.
Why we call it Feather Flake
- Pulled, not pressed. The strands are worked by hand until they are finer than thread, which is where that melt-away texture comes from.
- Slow-roasted besan. Roasted low and slow in desi ghee for a deep, nutty aroma, never raw or floury.
- Pure desi ghee. Rich and clean, so every piece tastes like the real thing, not oily or waxy.
- Made fresh for your order. Never sitting on a shop shelf for weeks. It reaches you light, crisp and fragrant.
Arrives ready to gift
Every order comes in our bright yellow Fruitofy tin, with the pieces placed by hand in two neat layers so it opens beautifully at the table: 8 generous pieces in the 0.5kg tin and 16 in the 1kg tin. Take it to a dinner invite, send it to your parents, keep one for the office, or open it with the family over evening chai. It is the box everyone recognises and nobody leaves untouched.
How to enjoy
- Serve at room temperature, straight from the tin.
- Break a piece with your fingers and let the layers fall apart. That is half the fun.
- Perfect with doodh patti, green tea or a black coffee.
- Keep the lid closed between servings so the flakes stay light and crisp.
